Summer always seems so fleeting—those gorgeous long days found us working more and playing less; shame on us. Looking forward to fall, our fair burg seems to be getting another healthy shot of culture in the arm. You’ll find this issue chock full of amazing and fun events—take some time to celebrate community and get out there and enjoy it! An event of particular note, the Thumb Butte Festival has grown in spirit and scope in preparation for the 2011 State Centennial Kick-off in Prescott, which it will be a focal part of. Word has it that there will actually be a cattle drive taking place in town to help promote the event. As this has been circulated by the hush-hush not-so-secret rumor mill to keep us guessing about the fest, we’ve been left to speculate on day and time. We’ll know it’s happening only when we see cows in the turn lane waiting to make a left. Keep them doggies movin’…
