Best Seats in Town (When You Gotta Go, You Gotta Go Here!)
No matter what you call it, and there are a surprising number of terms, when you gotta go, you gotta go and if you are in downtown Prescott, heeding that call offers you a number of options.

We speak, as you've surmised, of the toilet. Also known as the john, the loo, the head, the restroom, the washroom, the throne room, the 'facilities', the netty, the men's/ladies room, watercloset (for you James Joyce fans) and for the other fancies among us, the lavatory - from the Latin lavatorium, and not to be confused with laboratory, but of course you wouldn't. Rock and Roll Over ~ January 2012
The first single off the new album "The Darndest Thing," an 8-song, 35-minute ride from Sassparilla; an indie band out of Portland, Ore. The five-piece's roots music is all over the place, deftly connecting the unlikely but combative intersection of country-blues and punk.

It is that time of year when we rack our brains for gift ideas and what's better than music? Rather than check off the Top Ten on Billboard or iTunes, why not go off the charts for some tried and true favorites from locals who offered two favorites from their collections. ...

December brings bows, bobbles and ... chili
This month I'm throwing you a curve ball, err ... a gift. No, it's not for under the tree. It does not have to be for Christmas. But it is for the cold and windy weather - it is chili, that wonderful dish that warms you from head to toe.

Charles Huckeba / Gestural Abstractions
Chaos & Accident

Once there was a painter who struggled to master a peculiar and elaborate style of abstraction, and yet had gained a measure of renown. Each season his students would gather the courage to ask him the same question: "How do you start a painting?"

In her varied professional career, Mary Kaye O'Neill never saw herself as an artist.

She was, at times, an elementary school teacher, a career counselor at Maryland's Prince George Community College (she holds a Masters of Education in Counseling), a legislative assistant to a U.S. Congressman and a certified massage therapist.
